From the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette yesterday:
REBEL WITH A CAUSE: Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee, formerly of Little Rock, soon speaks out on a subject close to her
heart — epilepsy. Her younger brother has the disease. Lee is the new national spokesman for the National Epilepsy Foundation.
She’ll appear in a series of TV ads to shed light on epilepsy and contribute time and money to create educational materials
to be distributed in schools.
BEHIND THE MUSIC: Speaking of Amy, she was in Little Rock on Monday before last for R&R with 12 roadweary members and
crew of Seether (fronted by boyfriend Shaun Morgan). She called parents Sara and John a day earlier to ask if they’d
make their Mexican feast famous among family and friends. In return, John had a captive audience as he played guitar, harmonica
and banjo. "Hey, if I’m going to cook all day for you, you’re going to be forced to hear me play!" he joked. While
here, Amy and the guys watched movies, threw horseshoes, and played airhockey and foosball. "They may look like heavily tattooed
and pierced angry young rockers, but they are really just 24-year-old kids," says John.
